This album is the fifth by Lafayette, Indiana‘s Pop punk trio The Mixelpricks. They have been around since the early 1990’s and cut their teeth on the sugary sweet stylings of that underground pop punk sound the kids all love. Three high school friends who committed to learn and play music together, have since over 3 decades sold tens of records! Jason plays the bass, Keith sings and guitars, while Steve plays the drums. More importantly, this has been the lineup...more or less...from the very beginning. They did it without going beatnik, without cutting their hair to look like mops and without high powered promotion! In fact, they did it ALL themselves; the writing, the recording, the reading and the arithmetic! And it’s all adding up, to some very catchy songs that will get stuck in your head like gum to the bottom of your shoes! You might even say, they’ve made recording a “sound” career. This collection of songs may be the group’s most solid effort to date. It’s certainly their newest. The themes and ideas all spawn from the minds of three lifelong friendships.

You see, unlike those other pop groups, ALL of The Mixelpricks contribute lyrics, music, and talent. They literally do it all, even down to the artwork. Every last detail is a labor of love and they love doing it. You would have to in order to keep creating for almost 30 years. Unusual but it’s true. When passion burns this bright, it shines, and lights up like a Cigarette! In fact, you’ll be blinded by the lights as The Mixelpricks sing On life, love and war. Hostages, captivated by the Velocity and intensity that will resonate with the listener. Experience the soothing melodies that rival a Friday night fluorescent lights matchup. Some sad songs, some happy, but all so good, it’s almost scary! As scary as any nightmare! Or a Town that didn’t know about Halloween! This album is guaranteed to rock and you don’t need anything but your ears. You’ll have no issues, Daddy or otherwise. So sit awhile and let your heart rest here. And you listener, rest assured, The Mixelpricks were more than happy to make these songs for you. It may be all they have to offer for now, but If this is Goodbye, then it is certainly only temporary.
